The texture on the hand is gorgeous. I think it's really difficult to make a scene with extreme lighting (or lack of for that matter), so I really like how seamlessly the shading and the rain effect were done. Very nice

I can't believe I forgot to respond to your comment. I'm sorry.

This was a relatively early attempt at trying do something that looked more painted. This was done freehand in Photoshop. I wanted to try and do it like concept artists but didn't quite turn out as expected. For the rain effect I made little squiggly white lines and then used a motion blur pointing downward.

This was an early attempt to do something more painted and organic looking. I've certainly improved since then but it's still a pretty decent piece. I'm glad you enjoy it.
